The film is a German film. The film was made by director Konstantin Ferstl at the Hochschule fr Fernsehen und Film Mnchen. It is his first full length film. At the 45th International Hofer Filmtage, Trans Bavaria was awarded the Bild-Kunst-Preis. March 1, 2012 was the regular release day. The film was released on DVD on September 7, 2012 and was referred to as "A brilliantly spun rebel fantasy with cult film potency Redefinition of the road and buddy movie in Lower Bavaria." The film days were a great discovery.
