Parineeta is a 1969 India film by Ajoy Kar, which is an adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's 1914 novel Parineeta (Bengali: পরিণীতা Porinita). The English title for the film is The Fiancee. Parineeta takes place at the turn of the 20th century during the Bengal Renaissance.
