Plot.
Directed by Toivo Särkä, the music-filled drama Little Gymph to the King of the Violin (1949) tells the story of Olavi (Heimo Haitto), who, after arriving at an orphanage, sets out in search of his mother (Regina Linnanheimo).. When playing the violin on the street, he draws the attention of the professor of the music school (Aku Korhonen) with his special talent and gets to learn this. The film is edited from the film Little Peleman (1939), which premiered ten years earlier.. The new version has been shortened from the previous one and the documentary rest of it contains masterpieces of violin playing by the adult Heimo Haito at the Finnish Film Industry.
