Plot.

When three poor young women fail in their attempts to break into films and night clubs in Mexico City, they separate from their boyfriends, form a trio and travel the country singing, dancing and bribing older men, but they fall into a trap when they invest their money in an unreliable business.

The Three Happy Friends (Spanish: Las tres alegres comadres) is a 1952 Mexican musical comedy film directed by Tito Davison and starring Amalia Aguilar, Lilia Prado and Lilia del Valle.

It should not be confused with The Three Happy Compadres released the same year. It was shot at the Churubusco Studios in Mexico City. The film's sets were designed by the art director José Rodríguez Granada. It was followed by a sequel My Three Merry Widows in 1953.
