Somewhere in the GDR, anno 1988: The young soldier Henrik Heidler takes up his service in the National People's Army, a whole new world. Together with the weighty troublemaker Krüger, Heidler and his colleagues between old rabbits and bureaucrats try to somehow sit down their time. That's not always funny, because the superiors are annoying with socialist propaganda from before yesterday, the material and the equipment is scarce and not exactly new, the moral is on the ground. Even the relationship with his girlfriend does not hold.
