After an argument with her partner Gregor, cook Fanny and her little daughter Emma flee from Lansing. And as if that weren't enough, she meets Emma's biological father Norbert in the seclusion of the mountains, who Fanny could never completely forget. When Gregor shows up to regain her heart, it gets turbulent between the unequal opponents. Meanwhile, the villagers of Lansing are trying to put on a circus performance for a good cause. But there are only a few days left and of course some things go wrong with the rehearsals ... Will there be a “happy ending” for everyone under the big top?
