In 1997 an Austrian film called Qualtingers Wien was released. It is based on sketches by Helmut Qualtinger. Alfred Dorfer and Harald Sicheritz adapted about twenty of the 80 sketches written in the 1960s and 1970s to make a coherent story. The author wrote a book for himself and his wife. They are held by two people.
