The young Kazim has to prove himself in a brutal conflict when his younger sister Zahra gets caught up in a violent red-light gang. Kazim has felt responsible for Zahra since a tragic incident almost twenty years ago. Back then, the Mali-born father Baba broke up the family. The devout Baba loves his wife and children, but his tyrannical self-righteousness and carelessness became his undoing. Due to high gambling debts, he came into conflict with a clan boss, which led to a fatal escalation with tragic consequences. Kazim later slipped into the petty criminal milieu as a young man. He refuses to have any contact with his father. However, when Zahra needs help, Kazim faces the challenge of how far he has to go to protect his sister and whether he wants to reunite his family.
