Plot.
Mona falls in love with her college professor Mahmoud despite the fact that he's a married man and many years her senior. Mona is forced to marry another man and leaves Egypt. Years later, Mona returns and finds out that Mahmoud has been hit by a car and is now in a hospital. They meet again and recall their past romance.

Among the Ruins (Egyptian Arabic: بين الأطلال, translit. Bain el Atlal) is a 1959 Egyptian romance film directed by the Egyptian film director Ezz El-Dine Zulficar and produced by the Egyptian film producer Salah Zulfikar. The film is based on a novel written by Yusuf Sibai. It stars Faten Hamama, Emad Hamdy and Salah Zulfikar. Hamama received an award for her performance and the film was listed in the Top 100 Egyptian films in 1996.
