Plot.

Set in Burma in the year 1945, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose plans to launch the INA to fight the British. This is also the time when Adi comes back to Burma to take care of his family business. Upon his arrival, he gets engaged to a British Tasildar’s daughter. Just as he is set to get married, the atrocities of the British keep growing and Adi is forced to fight the British.

1945 is a 2022 Indian war drama film directed by Sathyasiva and produced by S. N. Rajarajan of K Production. It was simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu languages under the same title. The film stars Rana Daggubati, Regina Cassandra, Sathyaraj and Nassar. The film began its production in 2016 but was left unfinished due to differences between the producer and the lead actor before the film was eventually released in 2022.

The Telugu version of the film was released theatrically on 7 January 2022. The Tamil version premiered via a streaming platform on 4 July 2022.
