It is a sequel to the 1987 film Nadodikkattu, Mohanlal and Sreenivasan reprises their roles as Ramdas / Dasan and Vijayan, respectively. Just six months after the events of the prequel, CIDs Ramdas and Vijayan are called to Kerala to solve the murder of a police officer.
