Maria Pentayotissa () is a Greek film directed by Achilleas Madras and released in 1926 and 1929.Madras first turned a short version in 1926 before turning additional scenes for a longer release in 1929. The eponymous heroine is interpreted by his wife Frida Poupelina.It is a romantic adaptation of the life of a popular hero of the time of King Othon, who became head of a bandit group.His story had already been the subject of plays and poems (including Kostís Palamás in 1890).
