Plot.
The engineer Tito Scacchi lives in a pension with his lover, in full economic constraints. But one day the man meets a girl who works in ironing, who brings him the linen, and from which he remains impressed. After winning a contest, the young engineer leaves the pension and also liquidates his lover with a bad character, and moves into a comfortable apartment, where he reaches the ironing company in love with him. The couple then leaves Rome to move to Sardinia, where he found work.

Scampolo is a 1941 Italian comedy film directed by Nunzio Malasomma and starring Lilia Silvi, Amedeo Nazzari and Carlo Romano. The story is based on a play by Dario Niccodemi which has been adapted for the screen a number of times.
The film's sets were designed by the art director Ottavio Scotti. It was shot at the Palatino Studios in Rome.
