Plot.

Mickey and friends put on a revue for the orphans. Donald recites nursery rhymes, but the orphans torment him. Horace, Goofy, and Clarabelle do a dance number. Donald tries again. Clara clucks a song while Mickey plays piano (with support from an unseen orchestra). Donald returns, and the orphans finally send a parade of bricks and eggs on balloons over him and use slingshots to drop them on his head.

The divins of the variety, also known as the Charity Show (Orphans' Benefit) is a 1941 film directed by Riley Thomson. It is an animated short film of the series Mickey Mouse, produced by Walt Disney Productions and released in the United States on August 22, 1941, distributed by RKO Radio Pictures. The film is a remake of the 1934 short film An evening of charity.In the Italian edition of Chiquita hen is again given an invented name on the moment, that is, "Madame Coco Alacoque", after in the Topolino fans was called "Mr. Pettinoni".
