Out of play is a Spanish comedy film released on September 13, 1991, co-written and directed by Fernando Fernán Gómez and starring in the main roles by José Luis López Vázquez, Fernando Fernán Gómez, María Asquerino, Manuel Alexandre and Luis Escobar (died one week before the end of the filming), among others. The film won the Círculo de Escritores Cinematógicas (CEC) award for the best original script.
