Plot.
The film revolves around a girl who runs away from home because her father objects to her marrying the one she loves. She secretly marries her lover. One day, the husband goes on an archaeological excavation mission, but he is lost in an accident. The wife thinks he has died. After discovering that she is pregnant with her husband, she leaves the child after giving birth in the care of a nurse she trusts based on her aunt's advice. She travels on a trip to Europe, at the same time that the husband returns with memory loss.

The Final Encounter (Arabic: اللقاء الأخير, transliterated as El-lekhaa el-akhir) is an Egyptian film released on June 1, 1953. The film is directed by El-Sayed Ziada, features a screenplay co-written with his brother Mahrous, and stars Baadriya Raafat (in her last cinema role), Emad Hamdy, Mohsen Sarhan, Zahrat El-Ola, and Mahmoud el-Meliguy. The story centers on a girl who elopes to marry a lover of whom her father does not approve, after which the lover goes missing in an accident and she thinks that he has died. Discovering that she is pregnant, the ostensible widow leaves the child in the care of a nurse and travels to Europe, only for the husband to return with amnesia.
