Plot.

In 1944, at Himmler's command, a film was shot in Terezín, meant to give the impression that the rumors of extermination camps were enemy propaganda. In the film titled "The Führer Gives a City to the Jews", Terezín was depicted as a town handed over into free Jewish self-administration.

The Given Town (Czech: Město darované) is 1965 Czechoslovak documentary short directed by Vladimír Kressl. It combines images from 1944's Nazi propaganda film Theresienstadt and images of Jews made in Jewish concentration camp of Terezín. It reveals the truth about what was going on in the camp.
