Plot.
Puglia, forgotten by God the plateaus of the Gargano are disputed by criminals who seem to come from a distant time. A land to make west, where blood washes with blood. To rekindle the hatred between two rival families, a forbidden love: that between Andrea, heir of the Malatesta, and Marilena, the beautiful wife of the boss of the Camporeale. A passion impossible to remove that pervades reason and rekindles the war between the clans.

Burning Hearts (Italian: Ti mangio il cuore, meaning "I'll eat your heart") is a 2022 Italian crime-drama film written and directed by Pippo Mezzapesa. The film premiered at the Horizons section of the 79th edition of the Venice Film Festival. It is based on a non-fiction book by Carlo Bonini and Giuliano Foschini and inspired by the true story of Rosa Di Fiore, the first pentita of the Gargano Mafia. It marked the acting debut of singer Elodie.
