Plot.

When 54 high school girls throw themselves in front of a subway train it appears to be only the beginning of a string of suicides around the country. Does the new all-girl group Desert have anything to do with it? Detective Kuroda tries to find the answer, which isn't as simple as he had hoped.

Suicide Club, known in Japan as Suicide Circle (自殺サークル, Jisatsu Sākuru), is a 2001 Japanese independent horror film written and directed by Sion Sono. The film explores a wave of seemingly unconnected suicides that strikes Japan and the efforts of the police to determine the reasons behind the strange behavior.

Suicide Club was shown at numerous film festivals around the world and won the Jury Prize for "Most Ground-Breaking Film" at the 2003 Fantasia Film Festival. It developed a significant cult following over the years.
