Plot.
Agerl, the daughter of the poor small farmer Staudererer, is loved by Poldi, the son of the Leutnerbauer. Both can't come together freely and openly because of a feud between the old men. The fathers refuse their consent to the marriage. The already ordered task had to be canceled immediately because many attempts to achieve reconciliation for the sake of the young two lovers always failed at the last moment. Agerl and Poldi become too colorful when the young man hears his father talk about a double suicide.
