Plot.
Maurin, an accomplished lady seducer, has acknowledged Césariot as his son. Tonia, Maurin's mistress, is jealous of his love for the boy and follows him one night as he attempts to protect Césariot from the customs officers. But Maurin is shot and dies in Tonia's arms. Based on Jean Aicard's novel.

The Illustrious Maurin (French: L'illustre Maurin) is a 1933 French comedy film directed by André Hugon and starring Antonin Berval, Nicole Vattier and Jean Aquistapace. It is based on the 1908 novel The Illustrious Maurin by Jean Aicard. The film's sets were designed by the art director Robert-Jules Garnier. It is a sequel to the 1932 film Maurin of the Moors also directed by Hugon.
