Wiki.
La Malchanceuse (La Sin Ventura) is one of the first films of Émile-Bernard Donatien, released in 1923. Coréalized with Benito Perejo, it was shot in Spain (in Madrid, Cordoba and in the Andalusian countryside), as well as at the studios Levinsky de Joinville-le-Pont (for the interiors). It is a social drama featuring Lucienne Legrand, the director's companion.Long lost raw time, it was found in part at the Cinémathèque d'Espagne and restored with the help of the French Archives of the film. The intertitles were reconstructed from the novel by José María Carretero, from which he was inspired and from the romantic version that had been drawn.
