Plot.
An American troupe has to shoot a film in Italy and the director is looking together with the protagonist for suitable environments. The meeting with a young tenor allows the director to create a script and encourages the two to go and maybe fall in love, which is always useful to the likely future film, but the father and the tenor's girlfriend convince him of the fate of this love.
