Plot.

In Portugal, in the 60s, the corpse of a man appears on Dog's Beach. The corpse is identified as the major Dantas, a man wanted by authorities after his escape from a military prison where he was awaiting trial for insurrection.

Balada da Praia dos Cães is a 1987 Portuguese-Spanish police film directed by José Fonseca and Costa. Fonseca and Costa also sign the feature of the feature film, with Pedro Bandeira Freire, José Antonio Larreta and the dialoguer Shawn Slovo, adapting the homonymous police novel written by the writer José Cardoso Pires. The narrative accompanies a complex police investigation in the 1960s led by Brigadier Elias Santana (played by Raul Solnado) to determine the origin of the murder of a political prisoner. Balada da Praia dos Cães premiered commercially in Portugal on 12 March 1987 and in Spain on 24 April of the same year.
