On February 24, 2022 Vladimir Putin and his Russian army invaded Ukraine, beginning an ongoing conflict that has cost thousands of lives and created ripple effects throughout the world - particularly in the international competitive ballroom dancing community. Composed significantly of Ukrainian and Russian dancers, the world of top elite dancers has been thrown into turmoil from the war.
