Plot.
Elena comes back to Ecuador to help her father overcome his illness. She spends most of her time between drugs and alcohol. While visiting her grandpa in the Andes Elena gets involved in the fight for water access in an indigenous community. She gradually understands that among family secrets, corruption and dark perversions commitment and beauty can emerge.

The facilitator (2013) is a Chilean-Ecuadorian film directed by Víctor Arregui and written by Víctor Arregui, Anahí Hoeneisen and Joaquín Carrasco. The protagonists are María Gracia Omegna, Francisco Febres Cordero, Juan Carlos Terán and Marco Bustos.This is the third film by director Víctor Arregui after Out of the Game (2002) and When I Touch My (2008), and shared a poster with another film of his, Rómpete un pá(2013). The film premiered on November 1, 2013 and was screened in the third edition of the La Orquídea Film Festival held in the city of Cuenca from November 15 to 22, 2013.
