Plot.
In this espionage drama, a Secret Service agent must discover who has been smuggling British arms into China. The prime suspect is a prosperous Chinese merchant-philanthropist and the agent thinks the merchant is working with the notorious Chinese guerilla warlord General Ling.

The Wife of General Ling is a 1937 British drama film directed by Ladislao Vajda and starring Griffith Jones, Valéry Inkijinoff and Adrianne Renn. It was adapted from a novel by Dorothy Hope and Peter Cheyney. The film was made at Shepperton Studios by the independent company Premier-Stafford Productions. This film contains the only recording of the dancing of Dai Ailian, the "Mother of Chinese Modern Dance", from her time in London.
