Teddy narrates a snapshot of his life in Watts, California in 1971. He describes his relationship to religion, education, and radical politics, as well as his family and social life, against a backdrop of his neighborhood. He talks candidly about the War in Vietnam, the devaluation of education for Black young people, and the recent raid on the Black Panther Party Headquarters, with a clear-eyed sense of injustice.
