Plot.
When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer… and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.

I Know What You Did Last Summer is an upcoming American slasher film directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who co-wrote the screenplay with Sam Lansky after an initial draft with Leah McKendrick. It is the fourth film in the franchise of the same name, serving as a direct sequel to I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998). The film stars Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, Jonah Hauer-King and Chase Sui Wonders, with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. reprising their roles as Julie James and Ray Bronson from the first two films.
Produced by Columbia Pictures, it is scheduled to be released by Sony Pictures Releasing in the United States on July 18, 2025.
