Matarsak
Plot.
Ismaeil lives with his son Ali and his daughter Sona. His wife is dead and his friends insist that he remarry. At school, Ali's friend complains about his mother-in-law who beats him, which makes Ali have a blue fear of her mother-in-laws. Finally, Ismaeil marries Astar, a teacher. Although she is very friendly and takes care of the children, Ali resists her and is aggressive with her. But little by little, they're getting closer to each other.

Matarsak (The Scarecrow) is a 1985 Iranian film, directed by Hassan Mohammadzadeh and written by Mehdi Ma'danian. The film was the first to win the Best Film prize at the Fajr Film Festival, which commenced after the Iranian Revolution. The performances of Mohammad Reza Morseli in a juvenile role and Jeyran Sharif in a supporting role received acclaim and awards.
