Protagonized by Christopher Lambert, Anja Kruse and Maria Pia Ruspoli, this co-production runs a short period of the life of Austrian Gregor Mendel (1822-1884), the father of modern genetics. A man of contemplation and action, passionate about his garden. There he made the greatest discoveries for the science of genetics, which were not recognized until several decades later. The film describes his struggle to change the fiscal policy applied to monasteries in his country, his desire to give an understanding of his great discovery, and his friendship with Princess Hanna Von Limburg. The film also tells of the avatars of Erica Von Baumann, a woman who, at first, will be attracted to Mendel and who will make a spiritual journey aided by the princess.
