Plot.

This documentary begins searching for the whereabouts of the films that Servando Gonzalez did about the events of October 2nd 1968 in Tlatelolco, research that later will deal with the fire of March 24th 1982 at the National Film Archives, which destroyed a lot of important part of the footage from Mexico.

The lost rolls is a 2012 Mexican documentary film, directed by Gibrán Bazán with a script of himself, which meant his debut as director.In this documentary, it is intended to clarify, on the one hand, the whereabouts of the films that Servando González made before and during the events of 2 October 1968 in Tlatelolco, of which a part was said to have been kept for years in one can with another name until, about 1976, it was deposited in the vaults of the headquarters of the National Cinema of Mexico and, on the other, the unfortunate fire that occurred there on 24 March 1982, in which much of the important film material of Mexico and the world deposited there was destroyed (including, of course, the above-mentioned roll) and in circumstances that have never been clarified at all until now.This documentary premiered on 12 October 2012.
