Plot.
In Macao, where places of pleasure and arms trafficking are concentrated, a tragedy opposes an adventurer and his daughter whom he has brought up in ignorance of his profession. She is torn from her environment and saved from tragedy by a young journalist who loves her.

Macao, l'enfer du jeu (Labaredas (title in Portugal) or Macau: Inferno do Jogo (title in Brazil)) is a 1942 French black and white film directed by Jean Delannoy and written by Pierre-Gilles Veber and Roger Vitrac. It was adapted from the famous novel by Maurice Dekobra, published by the French publisher Éditions Baudinière and in Portuguese by the publisher Vecchi in the 1970s. It was shown in France on December 9, 1942 and in Portugal on July 23, 1947.
