Biography
Kay Skerra (born 1971 in Stralsund) is a German composer. Kay Skerra played drums and percussion in several bands and music projects before studying musicology and media and communication sciences at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg from 1994 to 1997. He studied film composition until 2000 at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. He then composed the music for several short films before making her debut with fantasy adventure film Lenya – The Greatest Warrior of All Time as a film composer for a feature film. Since then he has appeared for the music of television films such as Hai-Alarm on Mallorca and 380,000 Volt – The Great Power Loss and since 2006 also responsible for the television series Alarm für Cobra 11 – Die Autobahnpolize.
