Jean-Pierre Rambal

Jean-Pierre Marcel Rambal, born on September 13, 1931 in Marseilles and died on September 18, 2001 in Paris, is a French actor. He is mainly known for his roles as astronomer Alfred Plume-Poussin in the children's show Les Visiteurs du quarteur et du gendarme Taupin in the avant-final film of the Gendarme series, Le Gendarme et les Extraterrestres (replacing Christian Marin in an equivalent role). Jean-Pierre Marcel Rambal is the son of Willy Rambal (1902-1995) and Joséphine Rambal (1904-1991). He begins his career in the cabarets of the left bank where he plays a "number of shy" which allows him to acquire a small notoriety. He begins after a theatrical career, regularly playing in plays by Marcel Aymé during the 1960s.He appears for the first time in the cinema Le Saint leads the dance of Jacques Nahum and then chain the small roles, in which he often appears in a theatre career, playing in films by Marcel Aymé during the early 60s. He also plays, in the series Papa Poule, the role of Charles, the friend of the main character.In a passage on the show Today Madame, in a number dedicated to shyness, he is spotted by Louis de Funès, then looking for an actor large enough and thin enough to play a character equivalent to that played by Christian Marin in the previous films of the Gendarme de Saint-Tropez: he thus plays the character of the Gendarme Taupin in the fifth part of the series, Le Gendarme et les Extraterrestres, released in 1979. He also participates in another film by Jean Girault, La Soupe aux caux, always with Louis de Funès, at the beginning of which he makes the narration. Too busy by the theatre, he does not appear in the last film of the series of the Gendarme, Le Gendarme et les Gendarmettes, and is replaced in turn by Patrick Préjean. He plays several times in plays in the theatre this evening and ends his career in small roles of the Gendarme, Le Gendarme, Le Gendarme et le Gendarme de Cors, Paris.
