Pablo Sala

Pablo Sala is an Argentine sound composer and designer with a long career mainly focused on Argentine cinema. Pablo Sala comes from a family of musicians who gave him varied musical influences, covering various genres such as rock, classical music and jazz. In his interviews he names The Beatles and Yes as his early influences, and also highlights the importance of classical guitar studios with Horacio Ceballos for his musical formation, and of the musical composition with Máximo Diego Pujol, Luis Borda and Roberto Carnoballi, allowing him to begin composing his first works in contemporary and popular genres. Being also a specialist in electronics, computer and acoustics, he begins in the 90s to participate and direct works linked to sound design for theatre, creation of FX sounds for cinema and television, production of electronic music and composition of advertising music. Later, he also began to include works of multimedia events, artistic installations, thematic parks, research, teaching and forensic acoustics. Among the most recent are the design of the sound band of the mapping project for the reopening of the Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires (2010), sound design of the museum of the FC Benfica de Portugal and the composition of the music of the mail museum at the Kirchner Cultural Center.From 2000 onwards he specializes in the composition of original music and the design of sound for cinema. He obtained nominations and awards for both his musical and sound works.
