Biography
Dieter Reinecke (born 9 August 1929) is a German film architect and scene designer for television. Reinecke studied art history at the University of Göttingen and took part in the field of stage design and painting at the Kunstakademie Kassel. In 1952 he joined the film industry and began his career as an assistant scene designer.In 1954 he was allowed to work as a co-architect at the side of his colleague Arne Flekstad for the first time in charge of a cinema film. As chief architect, Reinecke, based in Jesteburg, concentrated on the work on television from 1962 and cooperated with leading directors such as Wolfgang Liebeneiner, Wolfgang Staudte, Otto Schenk, Helmut Käutner and Arthur Maria Rabenalt. Since 1967, he focused on the scenes of adventure (John Kling's Adventure, Cliff Dexter, Percy Stuart) and crime series (Tatort, Derrick, Der Alte).Reinecke also provided entertainment shows for television, including Vergissemeinnot with Peter Frankenfeld.
