Biography
Babak Badkoobe (born Hassan Badkoobe; August 31, 1977) is an Iranian communications consultant, presenter, actor, producer and director in cinema and television. Babak Badkoobe was born in an artistic family in Tehran, Iran. His father Mohammedreza Badkoobeh is one of the producers with a long history of television. Babak has a younger brother named Pooya. In 2001, Babak Badkoobe graduated with a bachelor's degree in cinematography and film production from Soore University. He then pursued further education and obtained a master's degree in entrepreneurial marketing from Payame Noor University in 2019. He continued his studies and completed a master's degree in marketing from NEOMA Business School in 2019, followed by a doctorate in management from IPAG Business School in France in 2020. He started working on Television at the age of 6 and playing in plateaus called Bacheha ino shenidid?. In 1985, he played in Dar Khane series, the joint work of Bijan Birang and Masoud Rasam, Akbar Abdi, Shahla Riahi and Roya Afshar also played in this series. 2 years later, he played in another series called Koodakaneh directed by Bijan Birang and Masoud Rasam. In 1369, he acted in the movie Safar-e Jadoyei directed by Abolhassan Davoudi. After that, until the age of 20, he mostly worked as a presenter in children and youth programs; Programs such as Tabestane, Paeize, Sabz, Sefid, Ghermez and Ba Javanan. The TV show Inja Ayande aired on IRIB TV1 by his producing in late 2014. In 2017, he invested in the film Dressage directed by his brother Pouya. The film received numerous domestic and international awards and was considered the most prestigious film of 2017 in Iranian cinema. Dressage was nominated for and won more than 20 awards, including the Golden Award for Best Film at the 2019 Geneva Oriental Film Festival, the Special Jury Prize in Berlin 2018, the Crystal Simorgh Award for Best Film at the 36th International Film Festival Fajr 2018, and the Shanghai Best Actress Award 2018. In 2018, he successfully produced the film Mars in which he also starred. In 2019, he played a role as a producer in the movie "Ticket to Paradise." Later that year, he produced the short film Upstairs Neighbor directed by Babak Badkoobeh. In 2020, he continued his involvement in the film industry as an investor and producer for the movie Tara directed by Kaveh Ghahraman. His most recent appearance in cinema was as the producer of the film IN which was filmed in 2022.
