Biography
Georges Strouvé was a French director of photography, born on 29 June 1927 in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, and died on 15 August 1998 in Aix-en-Provence. Georges Strouvé, a former student of the National School of Photography and Cinematography (promotion "Cinema" 1951, like Jacques Demy), appears on the credits of the short film Les Horizons mortes that Jacques Demy made in 1951. He took part in the French expedition to Patagonia of 1952, of which he was the filmmaker. During this ascension Lionel Terray and Guido Magnone arrived at the top of Fitz Roy. Strouvé made a 35-minute film from Fitz-Roy to Aconcagua (1952).He began his career as director of photography with Jacques Ertaud and Marcel Ichac in 1958, before starting a collaboration with Paul Veccchiali in 1962, which continued until 1994.
