Hadi Khanjanpour

Hadi Khanjanpour (* May 1982 in Tehran) is a German-Iranian actor, director and author. Khanjanpour was born in Tehran/Iran. When he was just under five years old, he and his family fled to Germany because of the Iran-Iraq war. He lived in Offenbach am Main for about 20 years, where he graduated from Rudolf Koch School and completed his civil service. He was cast for the leading role of the play "Ehrensache" by Lutz Hübner under the direction of Alexander Brill. In 2009 he won the Young Actor Award for Best Performing Performance at the Hessian Theatertage in Marburg and in 2010 the "Günther-Rühle-Preis" for Best Acting Performance at the "Week of Young Actors" in Bensheim. From 2008 he played some plays at the Schauspiel Frankfurt and the theatre group "Theaterperipherie" including "The Little Citizens' Wedding." He applied in 2009 at the Schauspielschule in Ludwigsburg and was accepted. He began his acting training at the age of 27 under the direction of Luk Perceval. During his studies he played at theatres and was at guest performances. With the study project "The Moment of Truth", which he wrote himself and plays as a monologue, he was invited to some theatres, schools, festivals and institutions, among others in 2013 as the only free production at the Duisburger Theatertreffen, JVA Gießen. With this piece he won among others the audience prize of the 5th Iranian Theatre Festival in Heidelberg and the 2 Audience Award at the Week of Young Actors in Bensheim.In 2013 he finished his studies at the Akademie für Darstellende Kunst Baden-Württemberg.
