Paul Chang Chung

Paul Chang Chung is a Chinese actor who has made a career in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Born in 1931, he began his career in the Shaw Brothers organization in the 1950s. Taking advantage of his adventurous physics, he often embodies attractive men to positive virility giving the replica to the female stars of the studio, at least in the first part of his career.He held the first roles in the late 1950s and early 1960s in a series of productions shot in Malaysia and Singapore (in Mandarin or Malaysian) to this market.In the late 1960s he played in films of espionage, which sometimes made him nicknamed "Jacques Bond Hongkongais".He left Shaw in the late 1960s, perhaps following the rise of new actors specialized in martial arts films that then met a growing success, and joined the Cathay studios. These latter, however, closed their doors shortly after and Chang then continued his career in independent film.He was also involved in filmmaking in the 1980s and 1970s with his own producers.
