Biography
Sian Proctor is an American commercial astronaut, geology professor, artist, and science communicator. She became the first African-American woman to pilot a spacecraft during the Inspiration4 mission in 2021. Proctor is also known for her work in science education, her role as a U.S. Science Envoy, and her contributions as an Afrofuturist artist and poet.
