Alfredo Giannetti was an Italian screenwriter and film director celebrated for his contributions to Italian cinema. Born in Rome, he began his career as a journalist before transitioning to screenwriting. Giannetti collaborated extensively with director Pietro Germi, co-writing films such as Divorce Italian Style (1961), for which they won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
