Biography
John Gilbert Barrett (born April 30, 1952 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American martial artist, stuntman and actor. John Barrett began his training in various martial arts in 1972. He was trained by Chuck Norris in his Chun-Kok-Do-style and owns the 3rd Dan In the American martial arts system he wears the 6th Dan. For various Chuck Norris movies, such as Das mutme Ungeheuer, McQuade, der Wolf und Missing in Action 2 – Die Rückkehr he worked as a stuntman. After some guest appearances he made several martial arts films. In 1991 American Kickboxer – Blood Fighter appeared with him as the main actor. The film is based on an idea of him and was continued in 1993 with To the Death He continued to work as a stunt coordinator, including for the TV series Power Rangers. For several years he has been running a dōjō for adults and children from three and a half years in Torrance, California.
