Biography
Jean-Claude Touzeil (1/10/1946) is a french writer and poet.
After a career in education in Africa, Asia, Brittany, and finally in Normandy, he is the "Founding Father" of the Printemps de Durcet (Orne) and the "Chemin des poetes". Jean-Claude Touzeil has published around thirty books with various publishers. He has also participated in several school books and anthologies at Milan, Rue du monde, Borda.s, Didier jeunesse, Bayard Presse, Albin Michel jeunesse, Magnard, etc. In 2004, Sometimes, a collection of poetry illustrated by Maud Legrand was published.
According to Éric Sénécal, Jean-Claude Touzeil is one of the popular poets with a "belonging to the people and respect for difference and the intelligence of all". But the humor in his texts also rubs shoulders with a more complex depth and richness marked by the many trips made and a great respect for nature. In 2016, during the Rencontres poétiques internationales de Bretagne, he received the Georges Perros prize.
