Brenton Amies

Brenton Amies is a comic actor and occasional writer/producer with a background in fringe theatre, improv and sketch comedy. He has spent the better part of the last decade touring various improv/sketch and theatre shows to fringe and comedy festivals including Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

As co-writer/director and actor, He's toured a short play, ‘Out of the Woods’ to the Short + Sweet Festival in Hollywood, California. Out of the Woods won Best Production in Sydney and was a Director’s Showcase finalist in Hollywood.

As a writer, his short play Who the hell is Martin Copper? Won Best Original Script (Comedy) and Best Production at the Canberra Festival of One Act Plays.

He's also a current and founding member of an improv troupe called The Upper Crass Players. UCP have performed together since 2016 and can be seen performing together regularly in the bars of Sydney’s charming Inner West.
