Biography
Danielle Mason (b. 1983) is a New Zealand theatre and film actress. From 1997 on, Mason attended the University of Waikato and graduated from the Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School with the Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts. Mason had her first role in two episodes of the television series Revelations. In 2004 she received the Chapman Tripp Theatre Prize in the categories Best Female Newcomer and Outstanding Performance She received greater attention from her role in the horror film Black Sheep. In the movies The Hobbit: An unexpected journey and The Hobbit: Smaug's wasteland she was the double of Cate Blanchett in the role of Galadriel. In 2019 she had an cast in an episode of Soap Shortland Street.
