Elizabeth Ostrander

Miss December 2014 Elizabeth Ostrander is one of the most adventurous Playmates ever. She was also the final Playmate of Playboy’s 60th anniversary year. The redhead beauty grew up in St. Augustine, Florida where she spent a lot of time at the beach. The self-proclaimed tomboy surfed competitively while growing up. She spent a lot of her childhood camping and traveling around the world.

At 18 Elizabeth moved to Greece and became an international model. She’s visited Paris, New Zealand, Belize, South Africa and a number of other places. She appeared in the Greek editions of Vogue and Lucky, as well as a number of other photo shoots and ads while overseas. She also earned a degree in photography, so she has experience on both sides of the camera.

While modeling may pay the bills, Elizabeth’s true passion is sailing. After traveling around the world for gigs, she decided to pursue a life on the water. She moved to San Francisco to learn how to sail. Shortly afterwards she shoved off on a 41-foot yacht and began exploring the Pacific Ocean. Her first major exploit was a journey starting in San Francisco and ending in Bora Bora, a voyage of over 4,000 miles, with a stop in Hawaii along the way. In preparation for this expedition she said, “I mentally trained myself to be like a Viking.” She documents her adventures on her website.

Elizabeth embraces her adventurous spirit. She describes herself as “Untouched by danger or threat.” She likes men who are tough and fearless, although the standards for “fearless” are probably higher than most. She hopes to find work as an actress some day and maybe play a Bond Girl at some point, but 007’s going to have to pull out all his gadgets to prevent Elizabeth from overshadowing him in badassery. One of her idols is Lana Del Rey because “she’s vintage, bold and wild. She must be an old soul like me.”

Elizabeth did not hesitate at the opportunity to appear in Playboy and is perfectly comfortable in the nude. She says, “I absolutely love being naked–it’s beautiful, it’s fun and it’s sexy.” She spends a lot of time on her yacht without any clothing, so her Playmate pictorial was a natural transition. About her centerfold, she says, “I want people to think of me as a sexy, mysterious gift to unwrap.” Miss December 2014 would certainly be the best Christmas present.
