Vanja Orico (November 15, 1931 – January 28, 2015) was a Brazilian singer, actress and filmmaker.She appeared in the artistic scene singing Rendeira Woman, the theme of the film "The Cangaceiro" (1953), by Lima Barreto, but began her career singing in the film "Women and Lights", in 1950, a production by filmmaker Federico Fellini, when she was in Italy studying music. Back in Brazil, she made her debut in Brazilian cinema in the classic The Cangaceiro, awarded at the Cannes Festival and success throughout the world, which gave her international recognition, making performances in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and the United States. She recorded records in France and was a sales recordist in Brazil. She was the cover of the main magazines of the time. A strong mark of her career in cinema is her presence in several films of the Cangaceo cycle, of which she is one of the museums.
