Michael Woulfe

Michael Woulfe is an American costumer (founding member of the CDG), born on June 2, 1918 in New York (New York State), died on August 30, 2007 in Los Angeles — Woodland Hills District (California). In cinema, at the RKO Pictures mainly, Michael Woulfe designs costumes (mainly female) for some fifty American films, the first being Blood in the Sun of Frank Lloyd (with James Cagney and Sylvia Sidney), released in 1945.Following in particular Le Criminel d'Orson Welles (1946, with the director and Loretta Young), Singapore of John Brahm (1947, with Fred MacMurray and Ava Gardner), A so soft face of Otto Preminger (1952, with Robert Mitchum and Jean Simmons), The Venus of the Hot Seas of John Sturges (1955, with Jane Russell and Gilbert Roland), or The Conquer of Dickday Powell (1956, with John Wayne and Susan Hayward's successor to the Smith's (1956), and John Howard's successor to the 1990s.
